The short answer
Chipping cannot be evaluated only at the cutting head. It is affected by the slab, material support, cut sequence, tool condition, programmed geometry, handling and the quality standard used to judge the final visible edge.
Material, finished geometry, required edge, output and factory conditions define a useful machine recommendation.
Check the production conditions
Identify the slab brand, thickness, finish and the position of every visible edge before setting a process.
Support the workpiece through the planned cut sequence and account for small parts, narrow returns and corners.
Use representative samples to assess the combination of tooling, feed, cut direction and finished geometry.
Define whether later polishing, beveling or bonding changes the visible edge, then inspect at the correct stage.
Approve against a real drawing
A useful test includes the customer’s actual slab and drawing, especially for 45-degree mitres, openings, corners and visible edges. Confirm the acceptance standard before an order is finalized.
Send this information for a useful recommendation
- Sintered stone brand, finish and thickness
- Largest slab and smallest finished component
- Straight cuts, openings, mitres and visible edges
- Drawing or DXF for the critical geometry
- Required pieces per shift and handling route
- Target acceptance criteria for edge condition and dimensions
Yongtao can use these inputs to match the machine configuration, tooling, working size and sample-test scope to the real job.
